This position was with the School of Polymer Science in a program that trained high school teachers in polymer science so they could teach their students. My day-to-day work included generating expense reports using SQL and Access, assisting with supply sourcing, and assembling new equipment such as 3D printers.

After six months as a CSR I was promoted to a Exemptions Specialist role responsible for diagnosing and resolving errors in how databases interacted with diverse internal applications. This role required heavy use of SQL queries, building Excel dashboards, and resolving errors in databases related to deduplication, record linkage from file loads, coding processes, and other database errors. I also led the design and build of a solution to automate basic operations functions and resolve typical errors caused by file loads, web discrepancies, and build errors. The solution was built in SQL and existing business logic with various update statements, and accuracy was ensured by the creation of QA scripts and error redesign documents. The final product saved hours of daily work and eventually eliminated the need for my position, leading to my transfer to an analyst role.
