Being a third-generation oil and gas man, summers were spent working for my Grandfather in the oilpatch. Starting in 1978 for Kaiser-Francis Oil Co. as an engine mechanic, I have spent 43 years in the oil and gas business. Experience in the supply sector of the oil and gas industry for the largest supplier in the state of Kansas, I gained knowledge in the pumping equipment manufacturing and helped with the design of the “Strap-Jack” and “Roto-lift” pumping systems which are both now owned and manufactured by Weatherford International.Owned and operated two successful oil and gas production companies, “GPS Oil Lease Operations” and “Legend Energy, LLC”, selling both companies in 1999 and 2019, respectively. Drilled and completed over 150 oil and gas wells in the Saline basin, Cherokee basin, and Central Kansas Uplift, this was done while being an independent operator and also Production Manager for Southwind Exploration, LLC, now owned by Redbud. Designed and supervised the installation of tank facilities, well pads, stimulation processes and hundreds of miles of pipelines. Supervised team size up to 60 employees over my career. Bought and sold many oil and gas assets, performing due diligence by engineering, geological, legal, and financial security using both private funding and banking institutions.
