• Responsible for preparation of hair, oral fluid, and urine samples for drugs-of-abuse testing by GC-MS and LC-MS/MS analysis via liquid-liquid and solid phase extraction according to established company protocols/SOP• Responsible for routine maintenance of small lab equipment and analytical instrumentation, troubleshooting technical issues to minimize unscheduled down-time and provide timely reliable results for stakeholders• Operation of GC-MS and LC-MS/MS instrumentation, monitored… Show more • Responsible for preparation of hair, oral fluid, and urine samples for drugs-of-abuse testing by GC-MS and LC-MS/MS analysis via liquid-liquid and solid phase extraction according to established company protocols/SOP• Responsible for routine maintenance of small lab equipment and analytical instrumentation, troubleshooting technical issues to minimize unscheduled down-time and provide timely reliable results for stakeholders• Operation of GC-MS and LC-MS/MS instrumentation, monitored quality control for analytical runs, batch analysis and data review utilizing programs such as Sciex Analyst, Sciex MultiQuant, Agilent ChemStation and Agilent MassHunter• Utilized the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) SQL database and Microsoft Office Applications to document and access important test results• Investigate all batch runs that failed to qualify based on established acceptance criteria and perform root cause analysis and Corrective Action Preventative Action(CAPA) with the goal of minimizing undesired outcomes and non-conformities• Train and provide technical guidance to new employees on methods, GLP and best practices for forensic science• Preparation and qualification of analytical calibrators, internal standards and reagents for use in drugs-of-abuse analysis• Utilize lean and Six Sigma philosophy taking on numerous project aimed to continuously improve performance by systematically removing waste and reducing variation within work Show less
