As Executive Director of Corporate Services at the Ministry of Finance, I oversaw the provision of leadership and support to Ministry clients in the areas finance, planning, improvement, IT/IM, legislation, reporting and corporate operations.

Led the Project Management Office within the Office of Planning, Performance and Improvement and managed a portfolio of projects related to planning and accountability for all of executive government.

During my time as a Consultant I worked closely with other central agency staff and government ministries, select agencies and Treasury Board Crown Corporations in developing and refining planning, performance and improvement methods, guidance and monitoring of progress. Our objective was to support a "managing for results" approach across government that focuses on outcomes and facilitates decision making within ministries and at the Cabinet Committee level.

Working within the Corporate Services as the Quality Management Coordinator and later as the Quality Manager I led a team responsible for the Ministry’s program review, Lean, Enterprise Risk Management, and quality programs. Ultimately, I led teams through answering - are we delivering the right programs and are we delivering them the right waySpecialties included:- planning, facilitating, coordinating, completing, and reporting on these initiatives to the Ministry’s Executive - working closely with internal stakeholders to manage and ensure business improvement initiatives were identified, planned and completed through a strategic lens.

I was fortunate enough to began my career within the public service here as an intern. I eventually moved into a permanent role as an Enforcement Analyst for the branch and then progressed into the role of Enforcement Specialist. In all my roles, I helped support and deliver on the branch mandate to remove unsafe drivers and vehicles from the provincial network resulting in safer roads for the public. Specialties included:- leading operational policy and procedure development using best practices (CALEA standards)- training officers in the areas of commercial vehicle inspections and control tactics - completing commercial vehicle inspections under the North American CVSA program.
