HighlightsI compiled my first Linux kernel in 1993 on a 486SX PC with 4MB of RAM.In 10th grade I developed my PC into a Bulletin Board System(BBS), networking with other BBS's across the USA using one-to-one modem connections. Without internet I was able to make my BBS system part of a worldwide email network called FIDOnet, and synchronize my system's hosted message boards with others via QWK networks.My first online development and marketing effort was for a vintage guitar store. It was so successful the owner converted the store to an online business and closed the brick and mortar location.While working for New York City's largest privately owned ISP, I co-created a transparent T1 to SDSL failover solution, saving our customers the cost of having a second T1 while increasing our companies profit per circuit location.I built my first technology service, a business class custom email solution, by converting a desktop PC that was being thrown out into an open source server using Debian Linux. That "obsolete" PC combined with my expertise provided superior email service to all our accounts for two years with near 100% uptime.I earned the trust of my first corporate client by fixing a T1 to ISDN failover with a paperclip.I converted a customer's "obsolete" Mac into a corporate fileserver using Debian Linux and Samba. I then interfaced it with their Canon copier so that all scanned documents are transparently saved to that server with a single button, making them available from any employee's desktop. End result: A digital document solution with no purchase of hardware or software!I developed an extremely effective antispam solution for an international nonprofit that communicates using Japanese content emails. I did this with statistical methods including Bayesian analysis. This method of fighting spam is proven to work for any language or character set.Specialties: 1) Finding ways to use what you already have to solve problems.2) Using free open source software to improve productivity and lower long term costs.3) Helping companies get control of their email with custom anti-spam solutions.
