Installation, operation, and maintenance of a multi-platform 75+ client network consisting of Windows and Linux servers and clients. Responsibilities included inventory costing, PC maintenance, and COBOL programming. · Improved the existing costing procedure to improve the speed required to produce results.

· Rewrote the existing COBOL costing application after discovering errors that were improperly inflating inventory values.; Responsibilities included preparation and releasing of manufacturing orders to the factory, bill of material and order maintenance, operation of a monthly forecasting system, PC maintenance and backup. · Wrote several programs in Turbo Pascal to bring data from a data General MV to the PC, parse and create databases, and perform various tasks and reports, creating faster access to information than available on the MV. · Optimized and modified an existing Excel based forecasting system to reduce runtime from eight hours to two. · Began implementing more PCs in the company resulting in the eventual migration away from the minicomputer to a LAN.
