I supervise 3 full time employees.My role at Shelby County is a mixture of Solutions Architect and Application Integration with healthy dose of Security Practitioner mixed in.This includes building Docker containers to support every major and minor application server from Glassfish/Payara to JBoss from Drupal to home brewed PHP applications.I am using Jenkins / SVN / GIT with various scripts (Bash, Python, PowerShell) to provide provisioning and automation.Day to day includes:Working with customers to help resolve issuesMentoring co-workers as a SME and teacherTroubleshooting medium to complex issues presented - including mild penetration testing and "White Hat Hacking" to prove or disprove what is presented by security's reports.Working with various Vendors to install or troubleshoot issues Updating certificates and hardening systems I apply them to - aligning them with best practice, testing server and client endpoints for compliance.Updating multiple Application Delivery Controllers (A10) to host new sites for scale and redundancy, using scripts to leverage the Restful API for automationMaking sure sites are properly set up with proper security headersSetup websites on almost all major application server and platforms, documenting and scripting the processes.Architect solutions to provide a service or resolve a problem.Help programmers deal with security issues with their applications and tools.

Technical Supervision of 7 employeesOn site assistanceTelephone AssistanceCoordinated and implemented software and hardware upgrade, system expansion and system administration to a windows based LAN system for 2200 workstations served by 150 different servers, including those offered over our extranet. In house trainer for fellow staff (co-workers and other organizational staff)Achievements:- Led standardization of desktops to a common operating system (XP) and base applications (Office 2003), cut helpdesk calls by 60%. - Utilized the Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 product and custom scripting to increase deployment of base images and applications by 50% of previous deployment time. - Developed and implemented Software Installation Packages for Window's standard user security level compliance by applying security settings only where the application needed it.- Built installation packages from raw files so they could be deployed automatically by our SMS product, removing the need for technician or customer involvement.- Created a Web based monitoring tool that provided connectivity status of remote voting sites for the Election Commission using SNMP, Perl and MySQL on a Linux platform. - Led project to replace 400 desktops, developed plan and scripted execution so our lowest level employees could implement two desktops a day without incident. This included backups/restores and application reinstalls as well as meeting new security requirements.
