About Raymond Gorospe
As Program and Outreach Coordinator for the Military & Veterans Program at the University of San Diego, I plan, develop, coordinate, manage, and lead military-connected programs around community building and professional development. I also proudly represent USD's Military & Veterans Program at community college and on-base military education fairs, serving as the primary point of contact for prospective military-connected students. As a Navy Veteran who completed two overseas deployments before receiving a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies at San Diego State University, I have the lived-experience of being student veteran on a major college campus. There are many challenges that come with transitioning out of active duty military service, and it is my intention to help veterans successfully navigate their higher education journey while equipping them with the necessary skills for life after college. During my undergraduate years, I had the incredible opportunity to grow my talents for visual storytelling through professional work opportunities with Major League Baseball and San Diego State University Athletics. Upon completing my studies at SDSU, I also freelanced as a photographer/videographer for a number of professional athletes and small businesses - both in San Diego and Los Angeles. I am passionate about serving others, by letting their voices be heard through shared dialogue and powerful imagery.
