I am a corporate / transactional attorney and valued business adviser with 17 years of experience as a sole, in-house attorney in the life sciences, private equity and web services space in addition to experience as an associate in a blue chip law firm.At RRD, I’m responsible for planning and directing all aspects of RRD’s legal affairs - providing tactical and strategic advice to all levels of the company from assisting Senior Program Leaders in negotiating clinical trial related agreements to providing high-level advice to C-level executives relating to all aspects of the business including deal structuring, corporate compliance and HR matters. As the sole, in-house attorney, I am responsible for planning and directing all aspects of RRD’s legal affairs with an emphasis on executing business objectives, including: preparing and negotiating all contracts with clients, partners, consultants, contractors, and other third parties (with an emphasis on clinical development); advising on various business and legal issues related to RRD’s internal and external compliance requirements; advising on legal strategy and structuring of complex in-licensing of biopharmaceutical product agreements; legal oversight of various portfolio / product development companies; managing outside counsel; and serving as corporate secretary on several boards.

East West Resources is a private equity firm that provides capital, strategic guidance and operational expertise.As the sole, in-house attorney, I was responsible for planning and directing all aspects of EWR’s legal affairs with an emphasis on executing business objectives, including: serving as corporate officer and maintaining corporate compliance for various EWR affiliates and subsidiaries; managed and directed outside counsel; conducted diligence on and evaluated several investment opportunities in various industry sectors; oversaw the legal aspects of one of EWR’s major investments, Digicel Holdings, an El Salvadoran subsidiary and mobile phone company with its own network of towers, switch, call center and distribution centers (later acquired by another regional operator).
