After completion of the roll-out, I was assigned the responsibility to manage server upgrades/migrations for clients that required a new IT infrastructure.• My first Server migration & upgrade project started in June 2011, Another 2nd/3rd Level Engineer and myself migrated a standalone 2003 TS Server and a VMWare 2003 SQL & 2003 Exchange server to a full VMWare environment including 5 servers. (2008 TS Server, 2008 SQL, 2008 Backup, 2008 AD & 2003 Exchange).• My second Server migration was for a small Real Estate Office consisting of 15-20 users. I migrated a Windows 2003 Standard Server to a VMWare Windows 2008 R2 Standard Server. Including all Data, NAS Drive & 3rd party applications as well as SQL based Applications. • Completed full site audits for new clients which included full network information and recommendations on IT Services that needed to be changed/upgraded to improve functionality and reliability or to create redundancy/failover for different services required. The audit also included ratings on each critical service required and various Visio diagrams to make it simple for the customer to understand their IT Infrastructure.
