Tom has over 25 years’ financial market experience, as an economist and a sell-side equity analyst covering UK and European banks. He has worked in top ranked European bank research teams at some of the world’s largest institutions, consistently ranking in the top ten on an individual basis. He has extensive experience of writing and presenting research to institutional and private client fund managers, mentoring junior analysts, supporting sales and trading, hosting company meetings and holding senior management to account in public forums. During his career he has been corporate broker to Lloyds, HBOS, Barclays and Bradford & Bingley and has met with the PRA, HMT, UKGI and bank boards to discuss market developments. He has been a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (FCSI) for over twenty years and is a strong communicator, acting as guest speaker at corporate events, chairing conferences and appearing on financial news channels, such as Bloomberg TV and the BBC. He has recently taken up a position as Strategic Advisor at SLC Corporation. Outside of work he is involved with his family business, where he attends board meetings as a shareholder representative, volunteers at a local school, and is the Treasurer and Trustee of a local charity.
