HIMSS-UK specialise in organising events for the health sector, management consultancy services and measuring digital maturity.I have over 35 years experience as both a healthcare practitioner and manager. I first entered the NHS in 1979 and qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1982. I have broad NHS management experience having worked in Acute Trusts, Health Authority, Strategic Health Authority and Shared Services. Over a 20 year period I've managed clinical services, IM&T projects and regional programmes.I became Director of Professional Development at HIMSS-UK in February 2015I'm a keen hill walker, runner and caver and take a professional interest in the food and drink business as both chef and critic.
