I strive to find a balance between the known and the unknown. Where the known is shortcuts, habits, beliefs, safety, bias, order, the stories I tell myself and the routines that serve me and the unknown is journeys, curiosity, variety, adventure, risk, diversity, new and different. I believe it’s possible to live life in a way that doesn’t differentiate between work and play but I haven’t quite made it there yet. I try to live honestly and bravely in the hope that I will become myself and not a facsimile of others. At the same time, I know that others are a huge inspiration and have a huge impact on my personal wellbeing.I do something different when both feet are in the known, because I know it can lead to a rut and look to create stability when both feet are in the unknown, because I hear chaos calling my name. I do all this because balance is where I feel alive, conscious, awake, interested, absorbed and amazed at what the world has to offer.I understand the discomfort that comes with stepping beyond my comfort zone but have increasingly found it preferable to the discomfort of routine fear.
