Ray Ross was educated at UMIST in Printing Technology and attained a first class honours degree. On leaving education he worked in line management at C Tinlings in Prescott, Merseyside. This was a book printing company employing approximately eight hundred staff. Ray transferred to sales and after two years decided to leave to set up his own company, Rayross Printfactory.Ray concentrated in the Liverpool town centre and gradually built the business to become a recognised and well established fixture in Duke Street.Ray’s interests outside of printing include, playing chess, badminton and playing bridge. And when he was younger you would find him in the squash courts. His community activities included being chairman for two charitable committees as well as chairman for his local youth and community centre.In his 50’s Ray became an author, writing two murder mysteries and two novels. His latest is available on the Kindle and Ipad, and is entitled The Baltic Jewel.Rayross Printfactory was incorporated in 1976 in the Liverpool Town Centre and offers a complete range of offset printing and design service. The building is fronted with a copy shop which houses the latest digital technology and offering immediate design and colour printing.
