I have been in the voice/data communications industry since 1985. Started out in the trenches selling business phone systems (Comdial, TIE, and Toshiba). Promoted to regional sales manager. Co-owner of Access West a small voice/date communications company. Became President-CEO growing the company to be one of the largest distributors of Mitel and AVT systems in NA during the early 90s. Our focus on engineering voice/data solutions for our customers made us a very successful systems integrator. Negotiated merger of Access West with large "publicly traded" communications company. Co-Founder of VSR a voicemail and IVR manufacturer Founder of Ryan Technologies - one of the pioneers of CTI solutions for the communications industry that included the use of presence to monitor the state of PBX extensions and created the first Windows-based Console with drag and drop call processing. Negotiated sale of company to iQ NetSolutions (Westborough, MA) and became it’s CTO.Obtained controlling interest in iQ NetSolutions and re-located company to Northern CA. iQ has invested millions of dollars in its technology and today offers presence-based solutions for Cisco UC customers. Our products are sold through major Cisco Partners and direct worldwide.Aside from the business world...I have been serving on the Amador County Planning Commission (District V) for ten years. My wife (Nicole) and I have owned Ryan Oaks Vineyards for 20+ years and are located in the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County (CA). We grow several varietals of wine grapes which are sold to local wineries. Working the vineyards helps me to relax and unwind.
