Ray Scott Percival obtained a BSc. degree in Psychology at The University of Bolton, England, a Masters in Philosophy at The University of Warwick, and a PhD in Philosophy at The London School of Economics. He founded and edited The Karl Popper Web (1995) and organised the Annual Conference on the Philosophy of Sir Karl Popper for 10 years (1988 to 1998). Percival obtained sponsorship for these projects from the L.S.E., Dublin City University and The Open Society Institute, New York. In 2000 Barron's Who's Who listed Percival as one of five hundred "world leaders for the new century”.Percival taught MA students philosophy of science at the high ranking University of Lancaster and, from 2004 to 2012, he taught at the United Arab Emirates University, specialising in the philosophy of mind and the philosophy of science. Pioneering the use of digital education at the UAEU, Percival won a prize for educational videos and podcasts. Since 1990, he has published many articles and reviews for Nature, The New Scientist, Science Spectrum and The Times Higher Educational Supplement and National Review.
