As the Head of Finance of UK subsidiaries at MVV Energie AG, a leading German energy company, I oversee the finance function of three Energy from Waste plants that generate sustainable and low-carbon electricity and heat. I have been in this role for over nine years, leading a team of eight staff and ensuring compliance with statutory and management accounting standards.Before joining MVV Energie AG, I worked as a Group Financial Controller at President Energy PLC, an AIM-listed upstream oil and gas company, for six and a half years. There, I was responsible for financial and statutory reporting, dealing with auditors, IT systems implementation, and budgeting and forecasting. I also have experience in private investment banking, football, retail, and property management industries, where I developed very strong spreadsheet and IT skills, particularly with Sun, SQL, and pivot tables. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant with BDO (Stoy Hayward) and hold a BA Hons in Accounting and Computer Science from Lancaster University.
