I take a big-picture view to recognise where the real value lies, and I enjoy helping clients develop fit-for-purpose IP strategies.As an electrical engineer, I initially designed and implemented control and information systems for the electricity and mining industries. I now advise clients, both local and overseas, of varying size and complexity, in relation to the protection of their intellectual assets.Much of my work involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications in relation to electrical and mechanical technologies. I am regularly asked to provide advice regarding the enforcement or defence of patents in these technology areas, including infringement clearance, validity and due diligence.
