EkStep foundation is a not-for-profit initiative with a mission to enhance access to learning opportunities for every child in India. EkStep foundation is developing the "Sunbird" digital infrastructure to fulfil its mission. Sunbird is an open source, internet scale digital infrastructure for learning designed to address the size and diversity of a country like India. As a Principal Architect for Sunbird project, I am responsible for the architectural design of scalable infrastructure; cross-functional co-ordination between programs, product & engineering and driving excellence across engineering practice.

In Sep 2016, NIIT Ltd. acquired the business of my previous organisation Perceptron Learning Solutions (Ilimi) and founded StackRoute Labs. The entire team of Ilimi moved to StackRoute Labs and continues the journey with the bigger canvas that we are now part of. The product is the same, the passion is the same, the camaraderie is the same, and of course, the mission is the same - to disrupt and transform education in India.

ilimi (which means "education" in Hausa) is a disruptive EduTech startup. Ilimi was incubated at Canopus Consulting, built around an idea nurtured over many years and a technology platform that is cutting edge in every aspect. I am responsible for the architecture and development of the ontology based core graph engine of this platform.

Canopus Consulting is an enterprise architecture consulting organization. We are techies and architects, believe in doing it right - turning architecture into a "matter of fact", rather than a "matter of interpretation". We provided technology leadership to our customers, outsourced architecture design and architect mentoring. I am responsible for platform architectures at Canopus.

MakeMyDabba is a product from Bhavana Soft Labs Pvt. Ltd (formerly YAssume Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd). This product is aimed at crowd sourcing home cooked healthy food and delivering to the needy. A social enterprise on one side that empowers middle to low-middle class women/men (chefs) and on the other side provides a best alternative to home food for buyers.- Built the product and went to market aggressively within 3 weeks of inception.- Employed all the learning’s of earlier startup and Lean Startup in full.- Implemented location based search of the chefs using Haversine formula (based on latitude & longitudes) and Google Maps API.- Implemented SEO best practices to boost the site’s ranking.- Designed and Developed UI interface layer using Bootstrap framework.- Developed mobile version of the site using JQuery mobile and HTML 5.0.- Integrated with multiple Payment Gateways to decrease the rate of failed transactions.- Continuous interaction with chefs & customers for feedback and transformed them into product features.- Planned and scheduled the release of features into the application.- Handled the server setup, cloud-based deployment and backup activities.

YAssume is a highly technical SAAS solution targeting sales personnel to reduce their cold calls. It leverages all the contacts of colleagues and friends found in email, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. It computes influences and reach of all the people within the enterprise and beyond. Its unique algorithms discover key relationships by analyzing millions of contacts and communications across social media and e-mails to get salespeople connected with the right person faster.- Integrated with Social Media API to capture the connections and communications of the users.- Developed ETL scripts to transform the large relational data to a format more suitable for running heavy computations to calculate influences between people.- Developed in-house proprietary algorithms to measure the influences.- Implemented several Viral Growth strategies to leverage the power of social networks and increase our user count.- Used several caching and indexing frameworks at multiple layers to improve performance.- Implemented in-memory object caches and advanced key-value stores for fast computation and retrieval of influence scores.- Fine tuned MySQL database configurations and stored procedures to support the large amounts of data processing.- Developed scripts to automate build & deployment process of all the components of the products.- Setup and maintained multiple servers on Amazon Cloud.- Automated scripts for regular backups of data and files from Amazon servers.
