As the Commercial and Resource Manager I have full responsibility to lead and develop both people and assets employed to ensure the optimum capacity and capability for RT Communications. Working closely with the project management team; with a shared objective of ensuring programs are delivered to our high quality standards, on-time, and meeting both financial targets and customer expectations.Core to this role is the establishment of an ongoing program to identify, realise and deliver cost savings across operations and have in place processes and controls to protect the business at a commercial and contractual level.

The Commercial and Project Manager role is responsible for a range of construction and communications projects ensuring that customer expectations are meet from the beginning of design through to construction and integration. The role also includes the development and management of all Field staff and Contractors totaling 75 people.Additionally, this role has the responsibility to establish a program to identify, realize and deliver cost savings across the total business and have in place processes and controls to protect the business at a commercial and contractual level.

Development and Execution of the FMCG Logistics and Customer service strategy for MARS Food.• Deliver Customer Service Excellence• Development of Team Members• Responsible for $20M Logistics & Customer service budgets• Drive efficiencies of Logistics and Warehouse operations.• Management of export operation throughout Asia & NZ.• Key interface with trading partners (Coles & WW)

Responsible for all areas to do with the development and implementation of strategic buying strategies for Food packaging and Energy Buying.• Strategy Supply development and implementation for all Packaging materials.• Procurement of all Packaging material.• Support innovative packaging concepts and deliver first to market innovation.• Develop and Manage Global packaging suppliers.• Development and Implementation of Best Cost Country (BCC) sourcing strategies.• Development of supply pipeline from Asia into Australia of Retort Pouches which included the management of End to End supply including Quality and Food Safety practices for new packaging suppliers from Thailand, India, China and Vietnam.• Explore and develop innovation to create solutions to complex challenges.• Strategy development and implementation for Energy buying or all MARS manufacturing plants within Australia - $15m spend p/a across 6 manufacturing plants.• Develop business case and gaining business approval and funding for a Co-Generation plant for the MARS food business, returning $700 in savings per year and reducing C02 admissions by 65%.

Strategic responsibility and accountability for managing all Commercial matters relating to Indirect Buying and Flexible Packaging for Mars Food encompassing a total spend of $72m. The position had responsibility and accountability for the purchasing, inventory management, quality assurance and delivery of Flexible Packaging Materials to the MARS Food manufacturing site ensuring that the 1st MARS principal of Quality is at the front of all decisions and that least total cost is achieved.Management of Supply services into Food (Co-Manufacturing, Co-Packing, Bought in Finished Goods (including affiliate purchases), Capital, Services, Stores and Utilities, Logistics and Warehousing). Strategy development and implementation for Energy buying or all MARS manufacturing plants within Australia - $15m spend across 6 plants.
