• Conducted research and review of management plans, legal documents, and scientific reports of nominated and potential Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) for the Blue Park Awards — celebrating outstanding performance in marine protection and creating a strategic network of MPAs which confers prestige, funding leverage, ecotourism opportunities and a benchmark for both private and public sector funders. • Drafted and submitted evaluation reports of nominated MPAs using the Blue Park Award criteria, resulting in the awarding of Blue Park status to Parque Nacional Revillagigedo (Mexico) and Parque Nacional Jardines de la Reina (Cuba). • Built correspondence and partnerships with MPA managers, community stakeholders and scientific bodies to verify and review data for nominated MPAs.
