While there, I executed projects under budget by as much as $800K. While at Chevron, I drove efforts to develop new business by soliciting technical input from lead engineers and designers to develop detailed project scoping and funding estimates, presented them the the client, and obtained client approval to proceed with projects. In addition to my daily interfacing activities with Chevron, I developed project execution plans, project scopes of work, and manpower loading and cost forecasts, and coordinated the development of engineering work order packages for the FCC and Alky turnarounds and other capital projects, developed project schedules and TIC estimates, and directed Project Controls functions including the development of integrated engineering, procurement, and construction resource-loaded Primavera P6 schedules. This position required extensive international (Dubai, Bahrain, Singapore, Rome, and Calgary) and domestic travel for meetings with customers to address project challenges that arose and to supervise equipment and control system testing with multicultural/multinational teams made up from several different companies. These expanderder-compressors/generators were skid-mounted and involved auxiliary equipment including pumps, control valves, filters, heat exchangers, and piping systems. -
