Primarily used for projects too large to fit on the CNC mill and consisted of many contours or plumbing Centroid CNC touch probe was used to reverse engineer parts to within +/- 0.0005in. The touch probe was utilized when needing very precise measurements and the components could fit on the CNC table. Post processing of scans and digitizing was integrated into Solidworks •Components were designed in Solidworks and Pro/Engineering CAD, machining G/M-coding in SolidCam/MasterCam, and FEM in ABACUS•Machined and produced final production parts and necessary fixtures on a 5-axis Centroid CNC mill. CNC mill had a trunnion table that revolved around the A and B axis.
