Entrepreneurial and people centered leader with a career long commitment to social impact, Sara Razavi is CEO of Working Solutions CDFI, a Community Development Financial Institution. Throughout her career Sara has focused on scaling impact to help communities gain resources. Under her leadership Working Solutions CDFI has grown year over year, and mapped an ambitious five-year strategic plan which has exceeded its goal of $50MM disbursed in small-dollar loans and grants, and connecting local entrepreneurs to critical capital in small dollar increments. Prior to Working Solutions, Sara led an intermediary organization educating its members of state and federal policies to coordinate resources across private and public entities serving foster youth. Trained as a performing artist, Sara first applied her people centered approach to social services and then pivoted specifically to social finance following her MBA. Sara’s focus on strategic team development and rigorous operations management has resulted in a proven track record of social impact with scale. Born in Iran, Sara immigrated with her family to the United States at a young age and remained connected to family across the Middle East and Indian sub-continent, remaining aware and informed by the many viewpoints in our global community. She lives in Oakland, California with her wife and two young children.
