As Director of Investment Solutions I am a member of Aspect’s Product Design Group and I attend Investment Committee meetings. Together with my team, we form an integral part of the product development and research functions at Aspect and we provide quantitative expertise to Aspect’s clients on investment matters and the development of new product ideas. My primary responsibility, however, is client engagement on matters relating to strategies, products, performance and research. My technical expertise spans the spectrum of systematic strategies and my client coverage is global and ranges from institutional to HNW.

I was responsible for the following:Hedge Fund Manager research and due diligence in the following areas: Long Short Equity, Fixed Interest, Global Macro, Managed Futures/CTA, FX, Distressed Credit and Quant Trading Funds.I sat on both the investment and risk committees.

Provided quantitative support to discretionary fundamental portfolio managers - assisting with risk modelling as well as hedging strategies. Onboarded algorithmic trading functionality.Developed and traded a statistical arbitrage market-neutral model within the multi-strat portfolio.

Quant analyst in a multi-asset portfolio management team.Responsibilities included developing and enhancing strategic and tactical asset allocation for balanced domestic (South African) and global funds.

Mathematics Department Assistant - tutoring a selection of first and second year courses in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics.
