I am a multi-faceted entertainment professional with over 15 years in the entertainment industry. I have experience in several facets of the industry (development, pre-production, production, post-production, and distribution).I have worked at several post-production facilities and content providers including TiVo and Sony Pictures Entertainment where I serviced SPE’s extensive new release and catalog titles to global partners specifically in Eastern Europe and the Nordic Territories (including UPC Poland, UPC Hungary, and HBO). In addition, I have managed various digital workflows including 4K with several internal and external vendors and partners. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Film and Video Studies from the University of Michigan. Throughout my professional career, I have also continued creating content by writing various screenplays and creating content from short films to spec commercials and short-form content. I further enhanced my directorial skills by attending the American Film Institute Conservatory where I attained my Master of Fine Arts in Directing. Influenced by science fiction and comic books, I am interested in making unconventional coming-of-age stories that explore themes of dysfunction, family, morality, and manhood. My thesis film ‘The Portrait’, a modern adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray with an all-black cast, played at several film festivals and garnered several awards. Recently, I received a microgrant through the Disney Launchpad/ AFI Conservatory Underrepresented Storytellers Initiative. His film ‘SATURDAY,’ inspired by his teenage years, explores manhood and the complexities of family through three generations of black men.
