• Representing clients detained on civil and forensic sections of the Mental Health Act 1983 before the First-tier Tribunal (Mental Health) • Assisting patients at Hospital Managers’ Appeal Hearings and Contested Renewal Hearings• Dealing solely with matters from initial instruction through to hearing and beyond• I am frequently appointed by the Tribunals Service under the provisions of Rule 11 (7) (a) or (b) of the Tribunal Procedure Rules 2008 to represent a patient before a Tribunal panel• I conduct my own advocacy before the First- tier Tribunal (Mental Health) and Hospital Managers.• Experience in advising and representing the Nearest Relative at hearings • Representing patients at Care Programme Approach meetings.• Section 117 Aftercare• Treatment Issues• Seclusion & Restraint• Judicial Review• Human Rights• Police Station Representation (PSRAS)
