· Project 1: Studying crosslinking properties of polymers using LB film balance• Making polymer solutions (PS-b-PEO and PB-b-PEO) and blends and studying them under isothermal conditions• Learnt carbon coating and making AFM and TEM grids for imaging • Imaging polymers fixed on substrates using Atomic Force Microscope • Troubleshooting by contacting relevant technicians · Project 2: Studying the behavior of amino acids (L and D-cysteine) on gold clusters (Au20) and surfaces (Au144) using computational analysis• Writing computational scripts for Compute Canada clusters: Cedar and Prometheus at UVic• Use the above data for calculating relevant binding energies• Observing lowest possible energy configurations for the complex system

· Performing soil analysis using various tests such as Total Carbon, Nitrogen and Sulphur using COSTECH Elemental and ELTRA instruments, moisture extraction, soluble cation extraction using the Cation Exchange Capacitor, identifying pH and conductivity of various soil samples · Learnt workplace hazards and safety precautions · Following workplace rules of lab safety using PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)· Repeating experiments to enhance precision and accuracy
