Consulting on energy software and operational process within challenger UK suppliers.

I was the Head of Client Solutions at Utiligroup, a leading provider of energy retail solutions to a wide range of organisations in the energy and utility sectors. The Client Solutions team is a group of energy and software professionals whose combined knowledge and experience covers all areas of the utility industry. The team has now launched over ten new suppliers into the UK energy market, handling their regulatory and administrative duties (including Controlled Market Entry), embedding best practice and industry understanding, managing regulatory change and leading software implementations and training. From a client delivery perspective, my specialisms were in leading complex CRM and Billing implementations, and assessing and articulating the business/software impacts of regulatory change. This drew upon my experience of operations within numerous supplier clients, and also on my skills as a former senior software architect and developer. I played a leading role in determining the requirements and process maps for Utiligroup's DCC orchestration product, as well as reviewing the business/software impacts of mandatory half hourly metering (P272). I also led Utiligroup's successful Retail Market Review analysis and implementation programme.From a management perspective, I was responsible for the team's inception and formation, and for defining and delivering against objectives, standardising engagement models, identifying and developing talent, engaging in the company's innovation group and reporting into the senior management team.
