I am an old school linux C developer who is currently focused on DevOps. The use of deployment automation is fundamental in order to create a robust and scalable platform in rapidly growing and changing data centers.I believe in using solid engineering approaches to solve infrastructure problems. Anyone can manually modify the configuration of a system; making a well engineered and automated solution provides a necessary high quality and repeatable processes.Chef (www.chef.io) is my automation tool of choice. It has excellent support for our enterprise configuration management desires.
