About Roger Beniers

As the Global Head of Digital Delivery & Operations (Customer Experience & Digital) I started to scale up the worldwide eCommerce team from a start-up to a scale-up to a mature organisation. I am responsible for the definition, design, delivery and operations of the global Omnichannel eCommerce platform used by 20 brands of GrandVision (e.g. VisionExpress, Pearle, Synoptik, Grand Optical, Optica2000). The Omnichannel eCommerce platform is a Composed eCommerce platform (MACH architecture) and is developed and maintained by 100 people working around the world (local, near- and offshore) organised in 4 agile scrum (feature) teams, support team and integration team. I am accountable for driving the product roadmap (short and long term vision/goals) with the local Operational Companies and GrandVision Group stakeholder’s based on customer centric and data-driven design and supporting the Product Owners by delivering the roadmap in time at a high quality. New and improved features are delivered to all onboarded labels every 2 weeks (Agile Release Train) so time-to-market is short and business value is created to the market’s need. Besides delivering business value the eCommerce team also delivers technical and operational value like scalability, observability, tech improvements and process improvements based on Continues Improvement methodology.
