- I was appointed manager of the external logistics team, with little knowledge about this process, but awesome support from my manager, and colleagues working there. I was in charge of delivering the materials, and components from suppliers to the plant. During this time, I had to face one of the most challenging times in my career, facing the COVID disruption over the supply chain for the Ford plant near Mexico City. Dealing with constant threads from supply chain disruption, suppliers in Asia & Europe, and common quality problems suppliers often face. I coached, and train personnel in 6 Sigma techniques, and since the MACH-E program was just launching, I also had to support the delivery of spare parts to the dealership network in the US, from the manufacturing plant. Also supervised, and improved the Engineering changes coordination, and Inventory Control roles. In a new and out-of-the-box way, created and implemented plans to improve employee satisfaction and wellness in my department. Proving wrong the theory that manufacturing roles cannot work from home, by implementing the policy "Working from home" for all supervisors working in my area.
