Ryan currently provides mechanical engineering expertise for development, improvement, and maintenance of testing rigs and fixtures at Jefferson Lab. He also practices Jun Fan Gung Fu, Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, Muay Thai, and Jiu Jitsu. In October 2015, he was accepted as a member of the International Association of Inosanto Instructors.
