When these plants are geographically located in tropical regions, they are exposed to intense storms, with heavy rains and major electrical discharges. These inductions travel through networks and can cause significant damage to devices, causing disruptions in operation. The costs resulting from these events are those related to lost profits due to loss of production and the cost of replacement of damaged items. The atmospheric alterations observed in recent times indicate that the areas susceptible to receiving these fenomenos extend beyond the tropics.
