About Robert Blackwell Jr.

I am the founder of Killerspin, the world’s leading table tennis engagement brand, and the founder of EKI-Digital, a digital investment consulting firm.I truly believe that numbers can transform organizations and even lives. As a former Chicago stock trader and IBM engineer, I’ve learned that almost anything can be made better if we apply math to it. From winning at table tennis all the way to corporate decision making. Math gives us a repeatable, statistical advantage over our competitors, and yet many of us still rely on our guts.I’ve written several papers and given presentations related to algorithmic identification of opportunities, and have been an advisor to government and business leaders on ways to better maximize its IT investments.I’ve also served on many civic boards over the course of my career, and I currently serve the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, Civic Federation of Chicago, Business Leadership Council and I’m on the executive committee to Choose Chicago.I created Ali-Yah ventures, named after my daughter, to help anyone, regardless of their challenges be part of a sustainable economic ecosystem. This venture is what drives me to continuously succeed and overachieve. And yes, I believe math is the path to making Ali-Yah ventures successful and impactful.
