Brands within P.Johnson include Suit Shop, PJT, PJ Femme and Sartoria Carrara.Rob is a director and co-owner of P.Johnson and its group of entities. He is tasked with day-to-day finance and operations as well as medium and long term strategy. Rob steers projects which ultimately drive value to P.Johnson clients. These include sourcing and developing of new and existing production, supply chain efficiency and pushing the boundaries of made to measure garment manufacturing in terms of lead times (reduction of production times from 6 weeks to 2 weeks delivered), quality of product and product categories to include casual garments and female tailoring. Rob also leads the development of technology and the seamless realtime integration of the entire vertical supply chain (customer, retail stores, factories, materials and logistics). This includes the development of custom software, real time CAD integration for 1 to 1 pattern development, live garment status tracking and just-in-time cloth stocking systems.

Sartoria Carrara is an Italian made-to-measure specialist workshop producing by hand tailored clothing for P.Johnson and other leading men's clothing brands world-wide. For our main P Johnson line we wanted to be able to offer our clients the best of what is available in Italy. In order to get there we saw the need to invest in our own production base. So in 2016, we invested into a small workshop in Tuscany that we had been previously working with to create something new, a place that we could experiment and learn, and a maker that could create what we see as our ideal suit. The result is Sartoria Carrara.Sartoria Carrara is our atelier based in the marble forged landscape of the Apuane alps of North-West Tuscany. The region is unique in its deep tailoring history, and here our local artisan tailors create our suits using beautiful handwork and preserving the skills and traditional practices that are so essential to a suit’s beauty.When we started this project the workshop employed twelve people making mainly for small Italian and London based tailors. Today we employ over 60 people making some of the world’s best tailored clothing.
