Perform morning check of all equipment ahead of scheduled cases.Scrub in for ENT, Plastics, MIS, OMF, Laparoscopic, and Ortho cases.Two 8 hour shifts, and two 12 hour shifts including call, with overtime at main hospital.Precept the incoming peri-op students in the scrub role.Stay in-house for call and inclement weather.Expected to perform in all specialties proficiently and with enthusiasm.

Practice aseptic techniques in the OR suite.Setup surgical cases and maintain a sterile field.Advocate patient safety and patient care practices.Assist the attending surgeon for interventions.Transport patients and specimens to the appropriate locations.Initiate room turnover and clean up in between scheduled cases.Responds to on-call interventions and relieves other technologists.Performs in every specialty required by the OR unit.Trains new technologists.

Scrub Cysto, GYN, Ortho, General, Endoscopic, Laparoscopic and Vascular surgeryAssume role as technician to other units within the hospital.Initiates room turnover, setting up equipment, and "opens" for the next case.Assumes role of Assistant to the surgeon in absence of surgical assistantPicks cases, restocks rooms, troubleshoots equipment, prepares specimens.Takes scheduled and unscheduled call and responds immediately.
