Conceived and designed architecture and key components for multi-tiered enterprise platform for business assurance. Created and designed key aspects of 5G visual language that performs highly configurable data transformation and analytics used to rapidly capture flexible business rules to identify discrepancies in a disparate, heterogeneous environment. Specific Accomplishments:• Defined and co-created the BRAINscript language, an easy to use configuration language for the visual 5G modeling tool.• Led redesign of GUI, core components and the advanced OO behavior and interactions of 5G components.• Conducted training sessions enabling partners to use Lavastorm’s applications within their customer engagements.• Worked onsite in Europe, Australia, and the US with various customers to ensure best and proper use and guidelines of software.

Conceived and designed architectures for complex multi-tiered web solutions with large scale database backends and high volume transactions requiring performance and scalability considerations. Technically responsible for teams of engineers to develop and deliver these systems, while participating as engineer to implement portions concurrently. Solutions involved UNIX and Windows platforms, using C++, Oracle, IIS and other third party software. Specific Accomplishments:• Managed team of 9 for multi-million dollar web application delivering personalized news and quotes to the end user in real time. Responsible for all technical aspects of the project from design to delivery. The end application was a C++ app on the PC, and communicated through web servers to Oracle.• Created a dynamic reloadable framework to allow greater uptime while performing maintenance. Designed a distributed real-time stock price data system, using a self-created middleware multi-cast distribution model, avoiding database and network congestion. • Rescued imperiled project as replacement Technical Lead for team of 7. Managed QA, delivery, and customer expectations in project deployment. Succeeded in a project turn-around to a technically viable solution and a pleased client.

Conceived, designed, developed & implemented object oriented data communications & systems level coordinating software, incorporating TCP/IP over ATM. Managed Communication and Coordination Subsystem team of 4 engineers. Used C++ on UNIX platforms. Design methodologies included use cases, object model (Rational Rose), real time embedded, multitasking, multi threading, polymorphism, daemons, proxies, and process spawning.Specific Accomplishments:• Designed, coded & implemented a portable, lightweight object request broker (LORB) for systems level coordination & communications, including initialization & setup. The LORB used TCP/IP over ATM. The LORB included its own API, a data encoding scheme (floating point, fixed point), packed buffer storage, and capability to serialize objects.Ported the LORB to Windows 95, VxWorks, Solaris, and IRIX.• Designed, coded & implemented a LORB handler framework to standardize ways of addressing data handling, ports, & connections to other subsystems. Various LORB handlers were spawned by daemons, reachable at recognized proxies, and capable of spawning objects. Implemented a handler for animation and graphics station.• Managed entire subsystem (technical and personnel) of multi-million dollar naval contract.
