Howdy! I am a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minor in Biology. Through this degree, I have developed a strong foundation in safe and quality patient care with foundations in evidence-based practice. I am excited to begin my career as a nurse and make a positive impact on my patients and the community as a whole.PhilosophyMy nursing philosophy centers on my values of compassion, ethical care, advocacy, and loyalty. Treating all of my patients with these values in mind allows me to guide my practice in a way that will represent me and my workplace well, along with providing my patients with the best care I can give. These values extend to all of my patients, regardless of their demographics, backgrounds, or beliefs. I strive to never cease learning and improving my skillset so that I can become a better nurse for my patients every day. In a world where healthcare and healthcare technology advance by leaps and bounds, my mission is to stay on top of research and developments and be as informed as possible.Nursing Career Goals and ObjectivesMy short-term goals include graduating from Texas A&M School of Nursing with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in August 2024, passing my NCLEX, and officially becoming a licensed registered nurse. I then plan to participate in Cook Children's Critical Care Nurse residency program and become skilled in pediatric critical care nursing.My long-term goal is to continue to pursue advancement in my knowledge of critical care pediatric nursing after completing my residency at Cook Children's Hospital. Additionally, I aim to be an active participant in research and advocacy based on the needs of my patients and my community.No matter what stage of my nursing career I am in, I also maintain goals such as providing high-quality care, being an active participant in the workplace and community, and continuing to develop my skill sets. I have been able to begin accomplishing these goals by my participation in my nursing program, where I have served as a leader in multiple organizations, attended nursing conferences, and participated in various simulations and learning activities.
