Founded in 1997, its ultimate goal is to develop a team of fully autonomous humanoid robot soccer players that can win a soccer game against the human World Cup champions by the middle of the 21st century. RoboCupJunior (RCJ) is a project-oriented educational initiative within RoboCup designed to introduce robotics to primary and secondary school students up to the age of 19. RCJ focuses on education, providing a scaffolded learning environment where students can develop more sophisticated solutions as they grow and expand their knowledge.RCJ offers several challenges, including the Soccer, Rescue, and OnStage leagues, which emphasize cooperative, problem-solving, and task-achievement aspects. The initiative provides an exciting introduction to the field of robotics, allowing participants to develop technical abilities through hands-on experience with electronics, hardware, and software. RCJ is part of the international RoboCup initiative, which aims to foster Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics research by providing a standard problem where a wide range of technologies can be integrated and examined. With its focus on education and teamwork, RCJ is not just a competition but a crucial platform for young students to learn about robotics and develop essential skills to shape the future of AI and autonomous mobile robots.

RoboCup promotes through competencies comprised of autonomous robots the research and education on artificial intelligence and is an international event with 165 teams, over 1,000 participants, professors, and mentors from 43 countries.The competencies of RoboCupJunior place more emphasis on the educational aspects than on the competitive aspects of the development of a robot. It has been an excellent opportunity for me and describes my mission. While enjoying technology and science, it allows me to encourage and coach the younger generations into the passionate world of computers and autonomous robot programming.
