The FDSS conducted research in the Yucatan Region on the social interaction and policy of different Mayan villages. I interned with FDSS as a translator and communications facilitator between the current president of the village and the lead researcher. I was also involved in the coordination and management of the conservation workshops, a 3 day planning session, collection of social and ecological data for assessments, and the logistical organization and management of field operations.
