As Assistant Director of General Services and Events the department oversees the operations of several divisions including Facility Services, Fleet Services, Conference Centre, Performing Arts Centre, Film Permitting and Special Events.

Managed a wide variety of projects such as: Marketing efforts for Addison, website development, recognition garden, City Naming Policy, DART light rail and many more. It was an exciting, fast paced environment that required managing projects and vendors. I really enjoyed experiencing the large variety of projects that I managed in many different departments throughout the city.

The Addison Conference Centre complex, conveniently located near the Dallas North Tollway, includes the state of the art Addison Theatre Centre, award winning Addison Conference Centre, and historic Stone Cottage. A unique design of native stone and flora creates a surrounding to soothe the urban soul. Attendees mix and mingle in this natural environment of glass, stone and plant life, a comfortable backdrop for conversation and connection. In addition to these outstanding facilities we have a beautifully landscaped outdoor area designed to host events. This outdoor venue can easily accommodate 2,000 people or more for private functions or those open to the public.The Addison Theatre Centre is a state-of-the-art theatre space that consists of a completely flexible black box theatre and a smaller studio theatre. We have two well recognized resident theatre companies; WaterTower Theatre and Second Thought Theatre. The Visit Addison Visitor Information and Artisan Center offers an urban contemporary flexible art gallery space which can be used for art exhibitions, events, conferences, and other gatherings. It also serves as Addison’s visitor and tourism center as well as a creative artisan center with dedicated classrooms for glass blowing, jewelry making, painting, ceramics and bookbinding. In addition to managing the Addison Conference and Theatre Centre complex and Visit Addison, I manage Addison’s film permitting process. We have a growing interest in filming in Addison with many commercials, commercial photo shoots, a feature film and several independent films shot here. With the unique features of Addison in a compact setting we have become an ideal place to film.
