Responsible for all facets of supply chain management for $50million home furnishings retailer with 18 stores and one main warehouse.• Manage the domestic and international transportation, coordination and scheduling of all corporate stock, in excess of 2,000 containers per year.• Accountable for warehousing and inventory control for all locations.• Oversee planning for oversea and over the road logistics.• Maintain, negotiate and analyze sea rates, road rates and rail rates of 20+ brokers and freight companies to assess performance and implement improvements.• Maintains relationship with customs broker for all international shipments.• Monitor delivery efficiency and accuracy of individual freight providers.• Process daily freight bills and invoices from brokers and import vendors• Work side by side with CEO on special projects such as……..• Knowledgeable of import rules and regulations including per diem & demurrage standards, customs rules & regulations, anti-dumping duties, DOT (Department or Transport) policies and regulations for 2017 for ELD.• Primary technology used includes Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Microsoft Windows, Photoshop, Adobe, Loft, & Legacy
