R. Brian Hall is the Head of Market and Counterparty Capital in Wells Fargo’s Corporate Risk group. Working to advance company-wide objectives relating to efficient traded product capital adequacy and associated information delivery, he has sponsored investments in processes, strategies, and technologies that evolve and grow the organization toward its target operating state. The team's success is rooted in collaborative efforts, leveraging subject matter expertise, and culture of process improvements to support strategic objectives and uphold its reputation for excellence. We have developed a strong framework for data sourcing, data integrity, process governance, and executive reporting that is robust and responsive to the dynamic financial landscape.His role requires interaction with a broad spectrum of people from different functional areas to effectively execute at the pace of a trading environment, while also demonstrating initiative and self-direction towards longer term goals such as Basel III End Game including the Basel Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB).He is responsible for leading corporate market risk reporting and the execution of stress testing initiatives, including CCAR, which are pivotal for regulatory compliance and internal risk assessments. Our team’s work is instrumental in informing senior executives and regulators, guiding them through complex risk landscapes with precision and clarity.Outside of market and counterparty capital adequacy, his experience includes stints in traded products middle office, operations, and project management. He has led a wide range of projects including merger integrations, new business support, system implementations, and process improvement projects.Brian earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Duke University and Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of South Carolina.
