Most recently was promoted to Sales Manager to cover the international freight market for contracts and spot chemical cargoes covering two of six worldwide trade lanes for the Chemical Tanker group.CHARTERING, SALES MANAGEMENT - Achieved highest single vessel trading result USG/Med in 3 years; 38% increase over avg of previous 3 years.- Negotiated majority of 2015 Contract renewals of between 5-16% increase in a freight market that was mostly flat.CHARTERING, ROUND VOYAGE MANAGEMENT - Delivered net increase of 29% in sailed-in results for Brazil/Asia trade lane over 3 years vs previous 3 years.- Secured long term contract valued at $22M.- Improved trading results by creating an Excel tool for long range vessel program planning and suggesting the re-allocation of tonnage trading USG to Latin America with tonnage trading Brazil to Asia tonnage.- Initiated added responsibility of leading the POS group (8 people for 6 mos) after a colleague was promoted.- Handled the most contracts and highest per metric ton volume in the POS group by nearly double.- Devised and implemented tank coating layout of newly designed coated chemical tankers trading Brazil to Asia & Return.

Recruited and returned to the Owner side of the business to trade Time Charter ships in the spot market with chemicals, vegoils and cpp. Account Manager for Lyondell and Bayer.

Recruited to manage house accounts and develop new business. Canvassed the competitive international freight market, negotiating and evaluating freight, terms and conditions on behalf of our clients.- Contributed to over $40M in annual sales- Landed a new contract with Arco Chemical moving chemicals from the USWC to Europe with annual sales of approx. $2M.

Shipbroker responsible for trading ships and managing COA and spot customers within the respective service. Responsible for contract management and negotiation for Union Carbide, Arco Chemicals, Olin, Chevron and Bayer Chemicals.

Responsible for the interface of chartering and ship board operations, managing and implementing the optimal stowage for maximum utilization and voyage profits. Coordinated port activities with the ship and agents for expediting quick vessel turn around in port.

Responsible for and coordinated stowage and efficient loading and unloading of container ships in the port of Baltimore. Worked with ILA labor on behalf of the steamship line in managing port operations. Arranged necessary equipment to handle over sized pieces, including floating and shore cranes. Analyzed port and ILA labor costs for assigned ships in order to report cost overruns vs anticipated budget.
