I've made user interfaces, focusing on usability and testability (medium skills with those tools however). Lots of experience serving with startup and startup-like teams taking on big projects. I like math and science (especially astrophysics and biology) and am not bad with statistics as those apply to understanding experiments. I've worked with Ruby on Rails since late 2007, working on a prototype for a classical music store. in 2008 I helped design and build the TotalMusic service for a Sony-Universal JV, again using Rails. I made a billing system using Python for Project Playlist. For the last year I've been working with a team at Walt Disney Company on a variety of internal systems, again in Rails. Overall, my time has been split evenly between startup companies and well-established pillars of the economy. Earlier I designed, built, and managed the on-line billing system, accounting interfaces, and batch subscription billing system for AOL subsidiary MusicNow. That system handled > 1m credit card transactions monthly. I've been the IT director for a division of Bell+Howell, manager of new applications acquisition at Fermilab, an IBM Systems Engineer, and a Captain in the US Army.I've been working independently since early 2008 as owner of TeamVoice Corp..
