Current active projects:1) Sumer 2023: Built a Market Data Server to replace existing monolithic implementation to reduce number of required (but still conforming) licenses. Developed in C# using .Net and Async Tasking, Observables, Disruptors, ReactiveRX, GRPC Protobufs with streaming, GIT, and SBE encoding/decoding.

As a Senior/Principal Software Engineer worked on the Backend C2 server and Configuration server mostly in Python on an Apache/WSGI/Postgres stack. Debugged and stabilized the C2 server so it would run more that 24 hours. Modified the On-Premise version of the product into both a SaaS Single-Tenant and Multi-Tenant variations and deployed on AWS. Ran a successful Beta test with 5 clients. Took over the release and QA builds until automation from both GIT-hub and Bitbucket repos. Assisted in the build and deployment of a NODE.JS/SWAGGER/Prisma API interface into the existing Postgres DB and C2 server replacing the XMLRPC interface. Built C# based Windows Form applications for full API Testing and SaaS upgrades until CI/CD pipeline in place. Built a replacement Virtual File System for C2 to Target file loads outside of the O/S filesystem (needed for SaaS implementation). All projects were full Agile using JIRA/Atlassian toolset.

I designed and built their Cufflink™ (1.0) device based on an ATMEL ATmega2560 (Arduino) with an integrated GSM (2G-SIM800/SIM900) and ADC interfaces in C++ with only 8K of RAM and 128K of program space. To support the product, I also implemented and built a Cloud based portal, IDR API, and administration site in Azure/Plesk on a Linux machine (Full Stack/LAMP Stack - MySQL). Coded all HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, Bootstrap, JQuery, AJAX, and performed all Dev-Ops tasks. I successfully got UL certification for the Cufflink™ (1.0) device for standard 60950. Coded and designed Cufflink™ (2.0) utilizing a Raspberry Pi based system (PiZero W, RP3B+) on a custom ADC/Relay/LED interface board in C++ (40-Pin Interface). Configured and setup all network and Raspbian configuration including specialized partitions. Built an In-Situ Configuration Web-Site on the device including documentation on configuration and wrote to local JSON files for configuration at boot via Bash scripts. Implemented I2C and SPI drivers/interfaces to a variety of devices. Implemented an interface for the AD7606 ADC (16-bit/8 channel) over SPI and ran at 2KHz for VDC and 4-20mA interfaces. Implemented an interface to a 4G/5G GSM Board (SIM7000). Implemented Remote Update. Implemented a C2C graphQL interface for an OEM Client’s Demand Response portal in C# on a Windows 2019R2 server. Implemented variation of Cufflink™ portal on AWS Linux Box/MySQL Database machine.

The following outlines a few of the many different client contracts and projects:-Expert Witness for a lawsuit around the transmission of JPEG and MPEG and when invented.-C# development of IDR data reduction and analytics for large commercial cooling systems with many millions of data points which required data normalization, data cleaning, time correlation, graphical visualization, and anomaly identification. Exported to Excel for presentation and customer usage.-C# based Windows application replacement of a Windows 95/ME Visual Basic/Fortran application from the 2000s that needed to install and operate in both 32-bit and 64-bit environments (Windows 7,8,8.1, and 10) simulating the original windows 95/ME look and feel. Also developed modern interfaces into the older JET database architecture for upgrading older files into a more modern JSON based file set in both 32-bit and 64-bit environments.-Several API/Backend web-services contracts in PHP/MySQL with HTML/JavaScript test and verification sites (front ends) where all design and coding were provided by me.-Performed analysis, evaluation, 5-year planning of a bankrupt technology company for potential acquisition include personnel evaluation and product roadmap.-RFP and RFI generation and management including vendor analysis and scoring, selection, review against goals for a Web Based trading application.-Developed a Python based C# to C/C++ library for an automated testing environment including all connectivity to existing systems and MS-SQL and MySQL databases. Provided 30 tests in Python as examples. Eventually the tool was used in over 300 regression tests.

Languages and technologies included C#, C++, FIX, Liferay, Java, JSR-186.JSR-286 Portlets, EBCDIC to ASCII conversions, Oracle/MySQL, interfaces to Broadridge and other financial entities. Ran all operations and managed development groups in Montreal QC and Kiev Ukraine.

Startup number 9 in the medical Services area. Developed Database and Website technologies to host this medical product within a high availability hosting facility. Technologies include LAMP, MAMP, WAMP, PHP, Javascript, HTML, and Redhat Linux. Development was on Apple, Windows, Linux using Visual Studio 2008, MySQL Tools, Dreamweaver, and NetBeans.PriceDoc is the answer to one of the problems in healthcare today - how to put control back in the doctors' and patients' hands. PriceDoc allows patients to directly connect to doctors for a variety of common and preventative procedures and for doctors to market and compete for patient's by given the doctors an easy to use marketing and pricing tool.PriceDoc, while being a service, is really a product to be used by Providers to directly reach patients and cut out the HMOs, PPOS, and all those midmen that add costs.

Developed FibreChannel switch software and interfaced to the ASIC level hardware. System was ASIC and PowerPC based and was an early entry into the 1G FibreChannel switch market. Gadzoox closed the Irvine division in January of 2002 and eventually was purchased by Broadcom.

Was one of the original startup team (5 total) that created Nexa Technologies which was building a real-time trading platform for the Day Trading market. Specifically targeted at the Chinese language based Day Trader, all of the servers and applications were internationalized from the outset. Company was eventually purchased by Penson Worldwide (PNSN).

Joined WDC as a Senior Principal Firmware Engineer working on testing drive software at the board level. Wrote tests for ReadChannel, HBA interfaces, on board testing. Was made a manager of a test group within a month of joining. Helped reduce the testing cycle for new drive programs from 16 weeks down to 3 weeks. Also managed all development tool sets (compilers, debuggers, ICE) including all evaluation and vendor interaction.

Provided embedded firmware on a variety of platforms. Wrote high speed embedded firmare for a high speed copier interface (80MBytes/second). Used 80890, 32020, PowerPC, PLX, Atmel, and a variety of processors and DSPs from Motorola, TI, Intel and others. Wrote Windows NT, XP, Solaris, and Linux device drivers. Wrote and ship SDK and APIs for example and proto boards. Utilized PSOS, VxWorks, QNX, Windows NT, and roll-your-own O/S solutions.

Managed a software development and embedded device group in the Medical monitoring industry. Participated in year FDA and vendor audits and developed all sofware to cGMPs and ISO9001 standards. Participated in most 510K filings. Started out as a Senior Software engineering doing embedded 80186 hardware and telemetry devices, provided backend servers and data acquisition interfaces, provided GUI and think client applications. All devices were classified as Class 3 and Class 2+ devices.

Worked on embedded communications within the Defense Industry. Held an TS SBI/EBI.
