I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a secondary concentration in Construction Management. I am a licensed professional engineer in Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri. With 14 years of experience, I have a diverse background in preliminary engineering studies, transportation design engineering, and construction inspection. My transportation experience includes creating plans, specifications, and estimates for the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois Tollway. I have worked on complex road and interstate projects with tight deadlines, supported by my understanding of IDOT's highway standards and the standard specifications for road and bridge construction. I have also managed engineering studies in accordance with NEPA and applicable state standards. Additionally, I have four years of phase III construction inspection experience, which complements my design expertise. I am well-versed in model-centric delivery, where the 3D model is used to develop contract plans, a step the transportation industry is taking to deliver models as contract documents.I am actively involved with the Illinois Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Transportation and Development Institute. My professional affiliations and ongoing involvement in the industry help me stay current with the latest trends and standards in civil engineering.
