Higashi Osaka Campus

I teach mostly Oral Communication courses to first and second year students in the Department of Applied Sociology.

I have taught speech, debate, listening, and writing courses, and also work one on one with students in the Writing Center.

I teach classes focused on vocabulary acquisition but also utilizing Extensive Reading, timed free conversation, and other activities aimed to improve fluency.

Recruit and manage team of officers to organize professional development events and other forums for language teachers and learners to share ideas in Osaka and online.

Kosaka Campus

Taught English to elementary school children with the help of two high school or university student assistants.

Taught mostly oral communication courses to freshmen and sophomores.

Taught English to students of all ages and abilities at YMCA branches throughout Osaka. Team-taught as Assistant English Teacher at five public junior high schools in Izumi City, 1993-97, as out-sourced instructor. Taught specialized EFL courses to Sakai City fire-fighters, 1993-94. Taught and coordinated courses at Hagoromo Jr./Sr. High School as out-sourced instructor, 1997-2002. Coached and judged public speaking for teachers and students, including winners of numerous recitation contests.
