Currently, I am a PhD student in the group of Dr Monika Gladka @Amsterdam UMC, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. My focus is the investigation of the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiac repair and the development of new gene therapies to promote cardiac regeneration in injured heart. In my group, we adopt cutting-edge techniques such as single-nuclei RNA sequencing and top-notch experimental models such as living human and mammalian myocardial tissue slices. In 2020, I completed my Master Education - MSc. Molecular Medicine - @Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, under the supervision of Dr Jeroen Essers, and Prof Vincenzo Bonifati. During the two-years Master Program, I worked on the phenotypical characterization of a newly developed mouse model of William-Beuren Syndrome, and the investigation of LRP proteins in Parkinson's disease, respectively.In 2017, I completed my Bachelor Education - BSc. Med & Pharma Biotechnologies - @University of Bari, Bari, Italy under the supervision of Prof Grazia Paola Nicchia, focusing on the role of AQP4 in Neuromyelitis Optica.
